April Wiegand – Veterinary Assistant
April Joined Animal Care Hospital of Morris in May 2025. She brings with her 7 years’ experience working in E.R. and ICU veterinary facilities. She also has worked as a relief technician.
April and her navy veteran husband have four children. She has rescued all four of her dogs, two beagles, a coonhound, and a beagle-basset mix. April is currently enrolled in Purdue’s veterinary nursing distance learning program and is Fear Free Certified.
In her free time, she enjoys coaching volleyball (April played at the collegiate level) and camping with her family. She has a particular passion for older dogs.
